AlertPay Update - Credit Card Funding |
Date: 7/28/2005 |
AlertPay, a new player on the online transaction services scene, now allows users to fund their accounts with credit cards & western union in addition to the original funding options (checks, money orders and various online e-gold type transfer systems). They have a low fee structure and have offices located in both Canada and the US. With the addition of credit card funding they open up AlertPay to mainstream, world-wide, online transaction service markets.

Newest Payment Processor: AlertPay |
Date: 7/19/2005 |
A good payment merchant is hard to find. Luckily, there have been many new additions to what has been an industry dominated by PayPal. GreenZap was one new hopeful, and now AlertPay is another. AlertPay just lauched its user's abilities to Add, Send and Withdraw funds on June 17 of this year. They have a low fee structure and have offices located in both Canada and the US. Right now account functionality is limited to checks, money orders and various online e-gold type transfer systems, but the site promises that direct deposit, bank transfers, bank wires, credit cards, western union and many more features are 'coming soon'.
If you are looking for a new or another payment merchant, give these guys a try. Find out if this new system is worthy of public attention, and let us know by posting a comment in our AlertPay Comments section here on PaymentMerchants.com.

Alert Pay is about to be on all my retail sites as I have heard they are the next Paypal and are located in Canada one can not go wrong. We got our first sale through them and I know now it all works. He sent a western union money order to them and though it took two weeks before I got notice of it's deposit. I am sure their withdrawal system will work fine as we make more sales through them. I believe Alert Pay is gonna be a great choice for many people. |

terrible service--took 3 weeks for my western union deposit to clear. Emailed several times about it and was told that these things just take time. Heaven knows what they were doing with my money w=in the 3 weeks they had it, as Western Union confirmed the delivery the same day. I wouldn't do business with them ever again. |

Worst service ever. They do not respond to emails or phone calls. As of last month (April 06) Alertpay.com has yet to respond to my emails/voice mail messages. The site does not allow you to get funds returned to your own account! Not worth it. stick to pay pal or other established site. |

Starting July4th I hear they are going full board with Merchant processing so all these delays you are talking about will be gone. The problem is each of these companies when they start need to get your information verfied like yowcow did before you can get your purchases through. Since everyone is now using these guys it is only a matter of few more months or by the end of the year everyone will have money in their alertpay account. Not having this on your site as one of your merchant proccessor is like waving goodbye to sales. Sure the slowness to deposit via check is slow right now and I know it. I also know they won't screw you over like paypal does so get over this slowness and enjoy this great service. You can funnel money from your e-gold account and back, and how can you go wrong with that. Alertpay will be huge in a few years and competition right beside paypal. |

A little dishonest to me right now. Elaborating: I opened an account today (personal) with the intent of sending a payment by CC. Well everything went fine until I tried to send a payment, only then was I informed that CC payments are not supported until 7.4.06 due to 'technical difficulties'. Would have appreciated knowing this upfront. It sounds like the have never had CC working, but their signup screens and homepage state CC is supported, and never mention otherwise. This is dishonest in my book.
Not impressed. Am going to look elsewhere. Don't like this style of doing business...what else will they try to pull?

Have been waiting 7 days for an electronic transfer from my bank account to AlertPay. Was told by AP customer service this afternoon that all incoming funds are swept into their bank account at 5PM Eastern each day, and that my money should show up shortly after that. If not, call them on Monday--which will be another three days.
It has now been four hours since the funds should have been "swept" into their account.
So, by Monday, I will not have had access to my money for 10 days. When it finally gets to Alertpay I will be transferring it to Egold and doing my future online transactions through them. The Bullion Exchange has it all over these guys. Should have used them from the start. |
